Our History

Two Decades of Successful Investing in Global Real Estate Operating Companies

Forum Partners was established in 2002 by Russell Platt and two co-founders with the explicit mission to identify, invest in and help grow leading real estate operating companies around the world.

Since its formation, Forum has invested in, or alongside, over eighty real estate companies in twenty countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Forum has invested with leading institutional investors worldwide through a series of regional funds, separate accounts and platform-specific partnerships.

Through its expanding balance sheet of direct investments, Forum holds minority as well as controlling positions in 7 companies that directly and indirectly own or manage over $10.3 billion of real estate assets.

Following a recapitalization transaction in 2019, Forum is wholly-owned by Mr. Platt and affiliated entities.
